HelixCast vs. Yodeck
Yodeck runs on Raspberry Pi. HelixCast runs on anything.
In 2017, Yodeck dropped Windows, Mac, and Linux support entirely. Today it runs on Raspberry Pi only. HelixCast runs in any browser on any device — including your existing hardware — with screen mirroring built in on every plan.

01
Yodeck locked itself to Raspberry Pi in 2017. HelixCast runs on any device.
Yodeck originally supported multiple platforms. In 2017 they dropped Windows, Mac, and Linux support to focus exclusively on Raspberry Pi. If you want to use a PC, a Mac mini, or any non-Pi hardware, Yodeck will not run on it. HelixCast is browser-first — it runs on any device that has a modern browser.

Screen mirroring is not on Yodeck's roadmap. It's on every HelixCast screen.
Yodeck is digital signage only. There is no screen mirroring capability. Every HelixCast screen — whether running in a browser or as a native app — can receive a mirrored session in under 10 seconds. A presenter opens a URL. No app, no account.

HelixCast pushes updates in seconds. Yodeck polls.
Yodeck screens check for new content on a polling schedule. If you make a change, it takes time to propagate. HelixCast uses push delivery — every connected screen reflects your change in seconds after you save.

| Free option | 1 screen permanently free (Raspberry Pi) | ✓14-day full-access trial on any device |
