About HelixCast
Built for the screen nobody's watching — and the IT team that owns it.
HelixCast started as a fix for one broken AV system. Today it manages thousands of screens across universities, hospitals, hotels, and offices.
Our story
A dongle problem that turned into a platform.
In 2021, our founders were managing AV for a mid-size university. Same problems, every week: professors couldn't connect their laptops, lobby screens ran outdated content, and IT was buried in tickets for things that should just work.
Every product on the market was designed for enterprise AV teams with full-time staff. None of them thought about the professor with 90 seconds before class starts, or the front desk coordinator who shouldn't need an IT ticket to update a welcome screen.
So they built HelixCast — one platform that handles the full lifecycle of a screen. Browser-based mirroring the moment someone walks in. Scheduled signage the moment they leave. No dongle, no app, no ticket.
The problems haven't changed. The solutions keep getting better.
How we work
What we actually believe.
Ship fast, fix faster.
We get something live and learn from real usage. When we break something, we fix it in hours — not the next sprint.
Screens should earn their space.
An idle display is a failure. Every feature we build starts from one question: what useful job is this screen doing right now?
IT teams aren't support tickets.
We build governance, audit logs, and zero-surprise deployments for the people who get blamed when things break and ignored when they work.
Simple beats clever.
A substitute teacher should be able to present on day one. We spend disproportionate time removing friction that most vendors never notice.
